Sher-e-Bangla A.K. Fazlul Huq as the Central Education Minister of the then Pakistan came to visit Bangla Academy on January 5 of 1956. He was offered a warm reception. At that time he approved a grant of around 50,000/- taka to Bangla Academy on this occasion.
